Flexible reimbursement

Trips made with personal transport and working-from-home days are easily registered in the app and automatically linked to reimbursements according to your policy. For example, you can reward sustainable kilometers by bike more generously than car kilometers. Everything is automated, no loose forms or manual administration.

Insights through reporting

With the online dashboard and detailed reports, you always have a clear view of travel behaviour, costs, and CO2 emissions. This helps you stay in control of expenses and make adjustments where needed. Reports are available at every level, from individual to organization.

"Choosing Mobility Concept has been a golden move"

“Blauwtrust Group went live several years ago with Mobility Concept’s digital platform, which makes it possible to organize travel more flexibly and sustainably. The reimbursements are linked to the trips made and to working-from-home days, and are also directly visible in the dashboard. This creates awareness regarding one’s travel behavior. We experience ease of use through one central place and an efficiently digitized expense-claim process. In addition, we can use the platform for CO2 reporting, which became mandatory under the Work-Related Personal Mobility Act as of July 1, 2024. Choosing Mobility Concept has truly been a golden move.”

Frequently Asked Questions about Flexible Mobility

What is meant by flexible mobility?

Flexible mobility means that employees can choose how, when, and which mode of transport they use to travel. This includes the flexibility to choose, on a day-to-day basis, between remote working, public transport, cycling, shared cars, or other transport options, depending on what best suits their situation at the time.

Why is flexible mobility important for good employment practices?

Flexible mobility gives employees the freedom and trust to decide how they organise their work and travel. This increases employee satisfaction, helps attract and retain talent, and contributes to a modern and attractive employer brand.

How does flexible mobility help reduce congestion and peak-hour traffic?

By giving employees more control over how, when, and where they travel, they can make choices that help avoid congestion and peak-hour traffic. This can include using different transport options, travelling outside rush hours, or combining commuting with remote working. The result is less travel time, reduced stress, and more efficient use of transport and infrastructure.

How does a mobility platform support flexible mobility?

A mobility platform brings together all transport options, such as public transport, shared cars, and cycling, in a single app and mobility card. It also makes it easy to claim mileage for personal transport and register remote working days, while providing insight into travel behaviour and mobility costs. This helps organisations optimise their mobility policy and support more flexible travel choices.

What is the difference between flexible mobility and a mobility budget?

Flexible mobility is about giving employees the freedom to choose how and when they travel. A mobility budget is one way of enabling that flexibility, by providing employees with a fixed budget that they can spend on different transport options.

Can employers reimburse private public transport travel tax-free?

Yes. If an employee has a business mobility card or public transport subscription provided by the employer, private public transport travel can also be reimbursed tax-free, without the need for journey registration or payroll tax implications. If you want to offer this as a cost-neutral benefit, it can be arranged through a salary sacrifice scheme. The employee exchanges part of their gross salary for the benefit, which can reduce their tax burden. With our platform, all journeys are recorded automatically. Employees classify their journeys as either business or private, and we provide the payroll file needed to process the salary adjustment.
